At the AISES National Conference earlier this month, ANSEP Vice Provost and Founder Dr. Herb Schroeder was awarded the Educator Partner Service award! This award recognizes a program for their AISES advocacy and their excellent guidance, leadership, and expertise to support indigenous students and professionals in STEM!
What started in 1995 as a scholarship program for university students, is now a sequential education model that provides a continuous string of components beginning with students in kindergarten and continuing through to the PhD level. ANSEP students are successful at rates far exceeding national and state numbers and we provide inspiration, guidance, and opportunity for students from over 100 Alaskan communities.
